Respiratory Protection Program (RPP)
Respiratory Protection Program is a program implemented by the General Directorate of Infection Prevention & Control in Healthcare Facilities (GDIPC) at the Ministry of Health (MOH) for effective protection of staff, patients, and visitors against respiratory hazards. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all employees, patients, and visitors are protected from respiratory hazards through a systematic approach that incorporates 4 main elements as follows:
- Prevention of respiratory hazards through administrative control
- Early identification of respiratory hazards
- Prevention of respiratory hazards through engineering control
- Prevention of respiratory hazards through Respiratory Protection Equipment's (RPEs)
