Central Sterilization Services Unit

CSSD program is one of the programs at General Directorate of Infection Prevention and Control that aims to improve the standards implementation of infection prevention & control of all Central Sterile Services Departments (CSSD) according to national or international protocols and guidelines The program team tasks based on preparing, reviewing and issuing infection control guidelines and policies and updating them periodically in line with the scientific references approved at the national and international level. Additionally, they establish audit tools and train auditors on how to use it. As well as, they Identify weakness points after evaluating the infection control in healthcare facilities by using the auditing tool, according to the result of the audit they will follow the improvement if it was at the hospital level or follow the improvement project if it was at the regional level or do ministry improvement project if it was at the level of all the regions.
