Improve Dialysis Event Monitoring and Notification Data (I-DEMaND) Project

Introduction:
Effective surveillance of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) is crucial for ensuring patient safety and quality healthcare delivery, particularly in dialysis settings where patients are vulnerable to infections. This proposal outlines a project to enhance the data entry processes for HAI surveillance in dialysis centers, essential for the accurate and comprehensive monitoring of dialysis events.

Vision

  • To achieve a comprehensive standardized data entry protocols and requirements at all national dialysis centers.

Mission

  • To Prevent infections and improve patient care among all national dialysis centers through the utilization of comprehensive, high-quality dialysis events data.

Aim

  • To create the national benchmark for preventing infections, improving patient outcomes, and optimizing clinical practices at all dialysis centers by the end of 2025

Objectives:

  1. To streamline data entry processes for dialysis event (DE) surveillance in dialysis centers.
  2. To improve the accuracy and completeness of DE data collection./li>
  3. To implement measures for timely reporting and analysis of DE surveillance data.
  4. 4. To enhance staff training and awareness regarding the importance of DE surveillance and data entry.
